chichester- 25/10/18
During October half-term, I went to visit Chichester university; to find out more about the course I am interested in and its opportunities for students.
I am interested in doing a Primary Education degree and theirs exceeded my expectations. The course information provided was really good and after speaking to one of the course tutors, I feel reassured that I would be comfortable and happy to study here. The course is held on the Bognor Regis campus which is further away from Chichester as I would have liked however, it was a lovely atmosphere and beautiful architecture. All of the accommodation on site is catered; meaning I wouldn't have to cook very much- which is something I would have be interested in doing. There are many opportunities for a variety of placements, including specific role- emerging placements that are very useful.
This course includes QTS which is highly useful in a teaching degree as it would enable me to become a teacher straight out of university.

The course I was looking at is their Primary education with QTS course. Whilst I was at the university I visited a talk on the course and found this invaluable. The talks from currents students cleared up a lot of questions I had and the presentation from one of the course lectures and the head was really informative. The facilities available to me are great and whilst on a tour around the campus and the accommodation I felt very comfortable here. Winchester isn't too dissimilar from Dorset in some areas due to it being a neighbouring county. This means that it is only a direct train away meaning I wouldn't be too far from home.
The achievement rate of this course is good and has promising prospects after university for either further study or in the field. After visiting this university I am confident in putting this as one of my top choices if I succeed to getting an interview.
